What we collect, why, and who sees it.
Last updated: September 2026.
1. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), country, currency and timezone you choose.
- Your work: lessons completed, assignments, quiz answers, notes, files you upload, tutor conversations, study time and grades.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive a customer id, the product bought, the amount, and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage & marketing data: with your consent, Meta Pixel and Google tags record page views and conversions so we know which ads work. You can decline on the notice shown on your first visit; declining does not affect your account.
2. How we use it
To run your program: your work and conversations are sent to our AI model provider (Anthropic) to teach, grade and tutor you. To bill you. To answer support. To improve the program using anonymised, non-identifying extracts. To measure advertising, with consent.
3. Who we share it with
Service providers who process data for us under contract: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI models; your prompts are not used to train their models under our API terms), Stripe (payments), and, with consent, Meta and Google (advertising measurement). We do not sell personal data.
4. Where it lives and for how long
Data is stored on servers operated by the providers above, which may be outside your country. We keep your account and work while the account is open and for 12 months after it closes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires longer.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Email yearonesupport@gmail.com. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in. Advertising cookies (Meta, Google) are set only after you accept the notice.
7. Children
The program is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
We'll post changes here and, if material, notify you by email.
