Short, and in your favour if you haven't used it.
Last updated: September 2026. This policy is part of our Terms.
1. One-time purchases (Term 1, Full Program, single terms, upgrades)
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided that in your account you have not:
- marked any lesson as complete;
- submitted any assignment for grading (drafts don't count); or
- started any quiz, midterm or final.
If any of those has happened, or more than 7 days have passed, the purchase is final and no refund is due. We check your account activity when we receive a request.
2. Monthly plan
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage billing. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for. Payments already made, including the current month, are not refunded.
3. Digital content and the right of withdrawal
Year One is digital content delivered immediately. Where you live in a jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period (for example the EU or UK 14-day right of withdrawal), you expressly agree at checkout that we begin supplying the program immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has begun, in exchange for the 7-day policy above, which applies regardless of where you live.
4. Duplicate or mistaken payments
If you were charged twice for the same product, or charged after cancelling a monthly plan, we refund the duplicate in full. Email us with the receipt.
5. How to ask
Email yearonesupport@gmail.com from the address on your account with the word "Refund" in the subject. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
6. Chargebacks
Opening a chargeback instead of contacting us results in immediate loss of access while the dispute is investigated. If the dispute is decided in our favour, access is not restored.
7. Our right to refund
We may choose to refund and close an account at our discretion, for example where the program is clearly not a fit or where account sharing or misuse of the AI faculty is detected.
